Software Engineer (Cloud & 3D Visualization)

About the role

Trimble is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Connect Engineering team in Mexicali. The role focuses on building cloud‑based infrastructure and 3D visualization tools that link digital models with the physical construction environment. You will work on the Trimble Connect platform, collaborating with an international team to deliver next‑generation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud architecture and micro‑services on AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, API Gateway).
• Develop backend services for processing, managing and delivering complex 3D construction models.
• Create robust, secure REST APIs to enable connectivity across Trimble’s ecosystem.
• Apply cloud‑native practices and containerization to ensure resilient, high‑performance systems.
• Collaborate with software architects, frontend developers and product designers to optimise data flow and end‑to‑end performance.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily backend or cloud‑native development.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Python, Java or comparable languages (Node.js, C#, Go acceptable).
• Hands‑on experience building solutions on Amazon Web Services or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of micro‑services architecture and API design.
