Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Staff Accountant to join Ria Money Transfer’s finance team. You will handle monthly reconciliations, analysis, and journal entries across multiple entities while supporting audit processes and commission settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate monthly Accounts Receivable and Bad‑Debt Reserve accruals for five companies (pre‑close).
• Prepare and analyze post‑close Accounts Receivable reconciliations for five companies.
• Follow up with the AR department on unusual, aged receivables and incorrect entries.
• Reconcile and analyze P&L accounts related to Bad‑Debt.
• Record journal entries for AR write‑offs across five companies.
• Prepare and analyze monthly Payables accounts.
• Coordinate with the AP department on aged payables and erroneous entries.
• Assist management with external and internal audit requests.
• Calculate partner commissions and coordinate monthly settlements.
• Record journal entries for bank service fees on various accounts.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2 years of accounting or related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Analytical and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to read and understand technical forms and financial reports.
• Bilingual English required.
