System Administrator

About the role

The Systems Administrator will manage the configuration, implementation and maintenance of servers, systems and applications that support Insulet’s corporate and manufacturing operations. This role works across VMware, Linux and Microsoft technologies and acts as the primary liaison for all Insulet systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve incoming support tickets via ServiceNow, ensuring optimal end‑user experience.
• Administer VMware, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and Microsoft Windows environments in a production data center.
• Monitor and report on operating system and application performance.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
• Maintain infrastructure components with vendors to achieve 100% service availability.
• Recommend and implement changes based on performance analysis.
• Automate repetitive tasks where possible.
• Collaborate with global IT, corporate systems and networking teams.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
• Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Project management capability.

Required skills

• 4+ years of Windows and/or Linux system administration (Windows Server 2012+).
• Experience with VMware installation, maintenance and management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and SQL Server.
• Experience with data backup, retention and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Understanding of networking technologies as they relate to servers.
• Awareness of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS and ISO (preferred).
