System Administrator – Windows/Linux & VMware

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Administrator to ensure the reliability and performance of our IT infrastructure. You will work within a global IT team, managing Windows and Linux environments, VMware virtualization, and supporting end‑user services through ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve incoming support tickets in ServiceNow, maintaining optimal end‑user experience.
• Administer VMware, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and Microsoft Windows systems in a production data‑center.
• Track operating system and application performance, producing regular reports.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and changes.
• Collaborate with vendors to maintain 100% service availability of infrastructure components.
• Recommend and implement improvements based on performance analysis.
• Automate repetitive tasks where feasible.
• Execute scheduled changes and maintenance with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of Windows and/or Linux system administration, including Windows Server 2012 or later.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and SQL Server.
• Hands‑on experience with data backup, retention, and disaster‑recovery exercises.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects as both lead and team member.

Required skills

• VMware virtualization management.

• ServiceNow ticketing system.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation tools.
• Active Directory and Group Policy.
• SQL Server.
• Data backup, retention, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Networking fundamentals as they relate to servers.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO (a plus).
