Tax Specialist

About the role

Charger Logistics is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its Finance Team. The role focuses on Mexican tax compliance, corporate tax filings, and coordination with Canadian tax authorities. This position offers the chance to deepen tax expertise while supporting a fast‑growing logistics company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and manage SAT portal interactions.
• Research Mexican tax regulations and support inter‑company transaction tax matters.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on tax aspects of transactions and elections.
• Prepare monthly PST, QST and HST returns and correspond with CRA and Mexican tax authorities.
• Draft memos and correspondence for manager review.
• Provide tax input for annual forecasts, budgets and financial statement analysis.
• Assist with tax audits of foreign subsidiaries and implement internal tax controls.
• Manage due‑diligence projects to identify tax liabilities and exposures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Specialization or Master’s degree in taxes.
• Minimum 3 years of tax accounting experience, including Mexican tax compliance and audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
