Training Specialist I

About the role

The Training Specialist I will design, deliver, and evaluate technical and interpersonal training programs for manufacturing employees. The role focuses on strengthening skill development, ensuring certification compliance, and supporting on‑the‑job learning across first and second shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom training and on‑the‑job support for at least 10 core manufacturing programs.
• Apply adult‑learning principles to achieve high satisfaction ratings (target 9.0/10).
• Maintain accurate training records, test scores, and certification data in the training database.
• Identify skill gaps, develop instructional materials, and create handouts or JIT modules using appropriate software.
• Certify and re‑certify manufacturing personnel according to company and IPC standards.
• Provide post‑class feedback to management and support continuous improvement of training processes.
• Participate in team meetings, project work, and adhere to ISO, safety, and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience delivering technical training in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve high training satisfaction scores.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage training schedules.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and compliance.
• Experience with training database management and record‑keeping.
• Ability to develop instructional materials using standard software tools.
