Vendor Manager

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a strategic Vendor Manager to lead the execution of sourcing programs for a specific product category. Based in our Aguascalientes office, you will ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of products that meet our supply‑chain and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate clear requirements and accountabilities to the vendor base and ensure products meet specifications and delivery dates across retail and premium business models.
• Manage programs with a “buyer” mindset, holding vendors accountable for schedule, production processes, quality, and terms of engagement.
• Coordinate regularly with Product Development, Supply Planning and vendor plants to align on product requirements and Go‑to‑Market calendars.
• Lead price negotiations for each program/season and oversee vendor development to guarantee bulk manufacturability.
• Supervise pre‑production activities from prototypes to sales samples, ensuring compliance with company and brand standards.
• Monitor vendor plant performance, addressing issues promptly and maintaining ongoing communication with Product Management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in vendor or supplier management within a manufacturing or apparel environment.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to drive programs to meet cost, quality and timing targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on accountability.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
