Video Editor – Short-Form Paid Social Ads

About the role

As a Video Editor at AboutNewForm, you will transform raw footage, creator content, and scripts into high‑performing short‑form ads for paid social platforms. You will work closely with creative strategists, producers, and media buyers to craft scroll‑stopping videos that drive conversions for high‑growth tech and mobile brands.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short‑form paid social ads (UGC, podcast ads, product demos, street interviews, etc.).
• Produce multiple variations per concept, experimenting with hooks, pacing, overlays, and CTAs.
• Optimize videos for platform specifications on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Iterate edits based on retention data, CPA, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with creative strategists to refine messaging and structure.
• Organize and manage project files to support scalable production workflows.
• Stay current on short‑form trends, editing styles, and paid‑social best practices.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of video editing experience, preferably in an agency setting.
• Strong portfolio showcasing short‑form paid social ads.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Capcut (required).
• Experience with After Effects for motion graphics (preferred).
• Deep understanding of pacing, retention mechanics, and conversion‑focused editing.
• Ability to edit quickly without sacrificing clarity or quality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience editing ads for DTC, mobile apps, or SaaS.
• Familiarity with Meta and TikTok ad formats, ratios, and specs.
