Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a BSC‑level Accounts Payable Accountant to join Flowserve’s finance team. In this position you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes, handling both PO and non‑PO invoices, reconciling vendor statements and supporting month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Check, sort, code and match invoices, including processing non‑PO invoices according to the Delegation of Authority.
• Monitor and reconcile vendor statements to keep payments up to date.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to internal and external queries.
• Participate in month‑end closing and ensure data accuracy.
• Produce monthly KPI, GRNI and AP Aging reports and continuously follow up on aged items.
• Review payment runs for accuracy and maintain up‑to‑date desktop procedure documentation.
• Provide training to associate and staff accountants and suggest process improvements.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, system implementations and transition activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounts payable experience.
• Secondary studies or a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field (studies in Economics is a plus).
• Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers via phone and work well in a team.
