Android Engineer – Hybrid (Mexico City)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a seasoned Android Engineer to design and develop high‑quality, scalable mobile applications. You will work on both modern and legacy components of the Android ecosystem, creating intuitive user interfaces and ensuring robust performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases written in Java.
• Leverage deep knowledge of the Android Framework to optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware and embedded teams, integrating C++ components where required.
• Apply automotive industry experience to meet real‑world constraints.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong background in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Java, and the Android Framework.
• Experience with embedded development and C++.
• Previous work in the automotive sector is a plus.
