Backend Java Developer

About the role

As a Backend Java Developer at PALO IT you will lead the design and implementation of scalable backend systems for innovative digital solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain high‑performance backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability, security and seamless integration with frontend systems.
• Build and optimise microservices architectures applying clean architecture and best practices.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Tech Leads to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, automated testing and adherence to clean‑code principles.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to R&D projects and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of backend development experience with Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security and Spring Data.
• Solid experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Fluent English with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
