Commercial Expert – Mexico

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Commercial Expert to lead senior‑level commercial, contractual and financial oversight for all WIFA project components executed in Mexico. The role supports the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to construction delivery, ensuring commercial risks are identified and managed early.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead commercial strategy for Mexico‑based scopes, including construction, EPC, subcontracting and vendor agreements.
• Support the creation of commercial models, scope allocations and risk‑reward structures during feasibility and early works.
• Negotiate, draft and administer contracts, amendments and change orders with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in Mexico.
• Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables and milestones across Mexican work packages.
• Collaborate with project controls and finance teams to develop budgets, track costs, commitments, forecasts and earned value.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in commercial, contractual and financial management for large infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Mexican regulations and ACCIONA risk standards.
• Ability to work closely with Project Directors, Program Managers, Construction Leads, Technical Experts, Finance and Legal teams.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
