Construction Estimator – Electrical & Multi‑Trade

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑to‑senior Construction Estimator with expertise in electrical and multi‑trade projects to join Photo Electric LLC. This fully remote position supports commercial and government bids across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial and government construction projects.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings, identify gaps, and document assumptions.
• Develop bid packages for projects ranging from $500 K to $5.5 M.
• Collaborate with senior estimators to refine pricing methodology.
• Utilize estimating software and AI tools to increase efficiency.
• Support fast‑paced bid submissions while maintaining accuracy.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of U.S. construction estimating experience.
• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent trade background.
• Experience with commercial or government projects preferred.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and make professional assumptions when plans are incomplete.
• Availability full‑time during US Pacific Time hours.
• Willingness to complete a paid estimating assessment and use AI tools in the workflow.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and quantity takeoff.
• Construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating).
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools.
