Cost Accountant

About the role

Flex, a diversified manufacturing partner, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its Guadalajara North Campus team. The role supports financial performance by maintaining accounting records, analyzing variances, and ensuring accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of profit and loss accounts to ensure postings comply with policies.
• Compare actual results with forecasts/quotes, research variances and make necessary adjustment entries.
• Collect business reasons for remaining variances and report them appropriately.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts with sub‑ledgers or manual schedules and address any discrepancies.
• Identify potential risks through regular account reviews and implement mitigation actions.
• Plan and execute month‑end close activities and related reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prepare forecasts and budgets for assigned accounts.
• Work with operations to improve business and operational metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3‑4 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar finance role.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, CMA, CA, etc.).
