Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide expert remote and on‑site assistance to its users. You will ensure smooth desktop operations, quickly resolve technical issues, and contribute to a high‑performing IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver remote desktop support and on‑site assistance to all users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Log and track support requests for accurate reporting.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and applications.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential disruptions.
• Coordinate with vendors for timely hardware and software resolutions.
• Create and update support documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and training materials.
• Provide feedback to improve support processes and user experience.
