Failure Analysis Engineer

About the role

The Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for identifying failure modes of warranty returns, testing and diagnosing products, monitoring product behavior, and producing detailed reports with recommendations. This role supports continuous improvement by analyzing both analog and digital performance of electrical and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in evaluating electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems, components, and integrated circuits to determine root causes of failure.
• Analyze failure reports, recommend corrective actions, and develop methods, processes, and equipment to improve the failure analysis workflow.
• Conduct product failure analyses on returned items, ensuring compliance with internal and external Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain daily productivity and workflow reports, and keep process documentation up‑to‑date.
• Review existing processes regularly and implement new procedures as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering change documents.
• Collaborate with employees at all levels, suppliers, and external customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Team player able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple competing tasks.
• Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent organization, planning and time‑management abilities.
• High ethical standards, personal accountability and integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
