Fullstack Software Engineer (Java & React) – Hybrid

About the role

Clara, the leading payments platform in Latin America, is looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join its Collections squad. You will own the development of both backend services and frontend interfaces, delivering end‑to‑end features that power financial flows such as payments, collections and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Build responsive user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Model data, write SQL for PostgreSQL and manage caching with Redis.
• Implement event‑driven communication using Kafka or similar message brokers.
• Create secure RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.
• Collaborate with product managers and pod leads to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Utilise AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) as part of daily workflow.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience developing backend systems in Java with Spring Boot.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade React/TypeScript frontends.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and distributed caching (Redis).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Git and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with proactive problem‑solving attitude.
