HR Generalist – Payroll

About the role

Donaldson is looking for an HR Generalist focused on payroll to manage pre‑payroll processes, ensure accurate payroll execution, and support employee inquiries. You will work closely with the HR team to maintain employee data and guarantee compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute pre‑payroll processes in Tress, including data entry, validation, and calculation for hires, terminations, incidents, and benefits.
• Review and reconcile payroll data before execution to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain employee information in the HR system and manage personnel movements.
• Ensure compliance with social security (IMSS/IDSE) and other statutory transactions.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and pre‑payroll issues.
• Supervise pre‑payroll operations to guarantee timely and accurate payments.
• Generate payroll‑related reports such as headcount, turnover, and absenteeism.
• Support audits, payroll reconciliations, and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with the HR team on projects, training coordination, and personnel management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a company with over 300 employees.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
• Knowledge of Mexican labor legislation (LFT, LSS, NOM‑035) and ISO 9001/14001 standards.
• Experience in compensation, labor relations, organizational development, and payroll administration.
• Intermediate‑advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Required skills

• HR and payroll systems: IDSE, ERP Tress, SAP, Workday.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
