Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

GoodLeap is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to provide strategic HR consultation and operational support to designated business locations. The role partners with line managers and senior leaders to drive employee engagement, compliance, and talent development across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct HR consultation on employee relations, engagement, compliance, compensation, benefits, and other initiatives.
• Coach leaders through change management, performance issues, improvement plans, and terminations.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations matters, including harassment, complaints, workplace injuries, and leaves of absence.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to refine strategies and programs that meet business needs.
• Lead new‑employee onboarding, conduct 90‑day check‑ins, and ensure successful integration.
• Process new‑hire paperwork, manage I‑9 verification, maintain HRIS data, and keep accurate personnel files.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources Management or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of HR experience; experience in mortgage or financial services is a plus.
• HR certification preferred.
• Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
• Professional demeanor with a high level of confidentiality.

• Proficiency with HRIS systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
