IT Technician – Field Services (Store & Vet Hospital Projects)

About the role

Petco is seeking an IT Technician to join its IT Field Services team. You will support store and veterinary hospital technology deployments across the nation, ensuring smooth installations and timely project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing projects and coordinate team members to keep workflows on schedule.
• Provide IT support for store POS systems and Vet Hospital equipment installations.
• Collaborate with on‑site vendors and technicians.
• Maintain vendor reports and distribute them as needed.
• Arrange and keep technical installation documentation up to date.
• Communicate timeline changes, track project adjustments, and manage risks.
• Record meeting minutes and take detailed notes.
• Strategize with the IT Manager on project priorities.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve reported technical issues.

Required profile

• Basic IT knowledge and familiarity with multiple operating systems.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with remote tools/software.
• Fundamental networking and telephony understanding.
• Experience with PC hardware.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Strong motivation, self‑driven project management, and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to multitask across several projects and adapt to changing schedules.
