Junior Shift Manager – Amazon Logistics

About the role

Amazon Logistics is seeking a Junior Shift Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in a delivery station. The role focuses on last‑mile operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost targets while supporting the overall customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 20+ hourly associates, including scheduling, payroll, vacations and overtime.
• Monitor and improve operational KPIs such as delivery efficiency, number of routes, and cost per shipment.
• Support purchasing of tools, services and consumables for the station.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives, map processes and document standard work.
• Conduct internal audits, quality initiatives and drive year‑over‑year performance improvements.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to launch new stations and design delivery models.

Required profile

• Ability to work a rotating, flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.
• Experience using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High school diploma.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Experience with process‑improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.
