Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The Local Partnership Development Specialist will expand our client’s network of local tour guides and tourism stakeholders across Mexico. Working closely with management, you will source, evaluate, and onboard high‑quality guides while building lasting relationships with guide associations, universities, and tourism offices.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source qualified tour guides through directories, social media, referrals, guide marketplaces, and academic institutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student groups, guide associations, and local tourism offices to create sustainable pipelines.
• Research prospective partners, verify backgrounds, certifications, language skills, customer reviews, and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess destination knowledge, storytelling ability, customer service, and operational readiness.
• Rank and rank candidates using defined criteria, maintain an organized pipeline, and prepare detailed profiles and shortlists for management.
• Support partnership negotiations and onboarding activities, ensuring consistency and quality across the guide network.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, recruitment, partnerships, or tourism operations.
• Strong communication, interviewing, and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Ability to conduct thorough research, evaluate candidates, and manage pipelines.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
