Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Siemens is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Test Field to design, implement and continuously improve the final validation processes of products in a manufacturing environment. The role bridges manufacturing, quality and testing teams to ensure safe, repeatable and efficient test integration at the end‑of‑line.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise testing area layouts, considering product flow, safety and ergonomics, and integrate them into the overall production line.
• Define, standardise and improve validation processes from a manufacturing perspective, reducing cycle time and waste.
• Conduct time‑and‑motion studies (MTM, Modapts), perform workload balancing, and determine capacity and headcount requirements.
• Develop work instructions, operating standards and key performance indicators (test time, efficiency, throughput) for the testing department.
• Participate in equipment and tool layout, ensure proper sizing, availability and validation of test equipment.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean methods to eliminate bottlenecks and increase throughput.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a test or validation environment.
• Ability to collaborate across manufacturing, quality and testing functions.
• Strong analytical mindset for capacity planning and process optimisation.
• Commitment to safety, quality and repeatable processes.

Required skills

• MTM (Methods‑Time‑Measurement) and Modapts time‑study techniques.
• Lean methodology and continuous‑improvement tools.
