Manufacturing Engineer – Wiring (Querétaro)

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Wiring area at its Querétaro site. You will be responsible for designing, installing and qualifying assembly equipment that supports low‑volume, high‑mix production while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and qualify assembly equipment for low‑volume/high‑mix production.
• Coordinate equipment installation while ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
• Create value‑stream maps and define the assembly line architecture and shop‑floor layout.
• Set takt time to match customer demand and ensure sufficient assembly and material‑handling capacity.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives for Low Voltage DrawOut Switchgear assembly.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma problem‑solving methods to resolve root‑cause issues.
• Develop capital‑expenditure proposals and detailed plans for new assembly lines.
• Support new product development with cost estimates, layouts, fixtures and line capacity analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related field).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Proven experience with line balancing, layout design, time studies and line transfer.
• Strong ability to work safely and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
