Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create and develop mechanical solutions for industrial automation projects on production lines. The role focuses on integrating cobots, grippers, tooling, and mechanical structures while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design grippers, tooling, and mechanical structures for automation applications.
• Develop 3D models and detailed technical drawings for manufacturing, assembly, and installation.
• Conceptualize and develop mechanical solutions for cobot and automated system integration.
• Validate designs for ergonomics, safety, tolerances, material selection, and cost.
• Collaborate with controls, manufacturing, quality, and safety teams throughout project execution.
• Provide technical support during implementation, commissioning, and ramp‑up phases.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, industrial safety regulations, and best manufacturing practices.
• Select appropriate mechanical components and materials for each application.
• Participate in technical reviews and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical design for industrial automation or production lines.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, or comparable CAD software.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, material treatments, and GD&T.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
