Mid-Level Video Engineer (Node.js)

About the role

Enroute is seeking a Mid-Level Video Engineer with strong Node.js expertise to join a high‑impact team building and optimizing scalable video streaming solutions. The role focuses on real‑time data streams, video processing pipelines, and distributed systems, supporting global video delivery workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Node.js microservices that process video data streams.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot workflows for fetching, handling, and analyzing video segments.
• Work with adaptive streaming technologies (HLS) and media delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with backend services, APIs, and storage solutions to ensure reliable video delivery.
• Monitor and optimize performance of network, disk I/O, and large media file processing.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with solid backend development experience, especially in Node.js.
• Hands‑on familiarity with video formats, adaptive streaming, and media codecs.
• Comfortable working in distributed, event‑driven architectures and microservices environments.
• Willingness to support APAC time zones (6 PM‑5 AM CDMX time).
