Payments Accountant – Cash & Bank

About the role

We are looking for a Payments Accountant who will manage cash and bank payment processes, work across multiple ERP systems and coordinate with international banks. The role ensures timely, accurate payments while complying with Flowserve policies, GAAP, SOX and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and execute regular, monthly and ad‑hoc payment runs, handling urgent requests as needed.
• Monitor and reconcile payment batches, verify entries and compare system data to expected outcomes.
• Respond to payment inquiries within 24 hours and resolve discrepancies, escalating when required.
• Maintain data accuracy and support month‑end closing activities.
• Ensure all payments are approved according to Flowserve Delegation of Authority and segregation of duties.
• Guarantee compliance with Flowserve policies, US GAAP, SOX and local statutory regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and international banks, building positive relationships.
• Perform other ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the leader.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in payment processing or related accounting functions.
• Experience working with international banks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to process changes and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• User‑level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Great Plains and S/4 Hana.
