Plant Controller – Electronics Manufacturing Services

About the role

The Plant Controller will act as the finance business partner for the Guadalajara EMS site, supporting operations, supply chain, engineering and senior management. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, you will drive financial performance, ensure accurate reporting and influence key operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Management teams to provide financial insight.
• Analyze manufacturing performance, product profitability and cost variances, recommending improvements.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial analysis processes.
• Monitor inventory valuation, standard costs and manufacturing variances.
• Perform detailed product costing, COGS analysis and margin analysis.
• Support pricing decisions and commercial profitability analysis.
• Coordinate monthly IFRS reporting packages and financial closing activities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing costs and efficiency.
• Support investment analysis, CAPEX evaluation and business case development.
• Prepare management reports and KPIs for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Plant Controller, Cost Controller or Industrial Controller in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing and manufacturing finance.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI/CO.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical mindset with solid business acumen.
• Ability to work closely with Operations and influence decisions.
• Fluent English.
