Senior Accounting & Treasury Analyst

About the role

The Senior Accounting & Treasury Analyst will oversee key accounting and treasury functions, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with Mexican regulations, effective cash management, and timely reporting. Acting as a business partner, the role provides financial analysis to support strategic decisions and drives continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, analyze balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts, and produce monthly financial reports for management and corporate reporting.
• Manage daily cash positions, produce weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts, execute domestic and international payments, and coordinate foreign‑exchange transactions.
• Maintain banking relationships, handle account administration, and ensure banking compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, support tax audits and maintain proper documentation.
• Participate in internal and external audits, identify control deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify and implement process improvements, support ERP optimization initiatives and collaborate with commercial, operations and logistics teams.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analyses and insights to support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; treasury or finance‑related certifications are a plus.
• Big 4 background desired.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and treasury within a multinational environment.
• Experience in manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, trading or distribution sectors is preferred.
• Strong experience in month‑end close, financial reporting, cash management and banking operations.
