Senior Clinical Trial Manager (US Sites Experienced)

About the role

ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, is looking for a Senior Clinical Trial Manager to oversee the planning, execution and completion of clinical trials across Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Chile, working remotely. The role leads the research department, manages site relationships and guides cross-functional teams while keeping trials within timelines, budgets and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the clinical portion of the budget to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Develop monitoring plans and tools and ensure effective study oversight.
• Train and mentor Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) to optimise their performance.
• Drive enrollment and lead study start-up activities on time.
• Review trip reports and implement corrective and preventative action plans when needed.
• Foster productive relationships with sponsors, vendors and cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Clinical Trial Management position at a CRO or pharmaceutical organisation.
• Bachelor's degree in health, life sciences or another relevant field.
• At least 10 years of relevant clinical trial management experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years of monitoring experience, experience with complex protocols (e.g. MASH/NASH, radiopharmaceuticals), experience managing complex or global trials, and experience managing trials from start-up to database lock.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
