Senior Verification and Validation Engineer – Computer Enhanced

About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to lead verification and validation activities for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) at Bosch Group in Guadalajara. The role focuses on designing, automating and executing test cases for communication networks such as CAN and Ethernet, while ensuring cybersecurity and OTA capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and provide technical leadership to the test team.
• Maintain and evolve software and hardware testing frameworks.
• Design, code and run test cases for next‑generation vehicle communication gateway modules.
• Define test strategies for connected‑vehicle platforms and evaluate cybersecurity through fuzz and penetration testing.
• Validate OTA (Flash Over‑the‑Air) requirements across multiple OEM architectures.
• Analyse test results, publish release reports and document test cases in DOORS, ALM or similar tools.
• Collaborate with local and global development teams on failure analysis and component evaluation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in electronics, embedded systems and automotive ECU testing.
• ISTQB Foundation level certification.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• Python and Perl scripting.
• CAN and CAN‑FD communication protocols.
• Ethernet protocols (DoIP, UDP, TCP, DHCP).
• UDS diagnostics.
• Embedded systems development.
• Use of electronics lab equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator).
• Fuzz testing, penetration testing and IDS.
• OTA testing procedures.
• Experience with JIRA, ALM and DOORS.
• Knowledge of automotive standards ASPICE and ISO 26262.
• Understanding of SDLC and V‑Model methodology.
