Software Development Engineer – OT Security

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who will focus on designing, building and securing data‑driven software solutions for our industrial IT environment. The role combines software development with operational technology (OT) security to support Bosch’s manufacturing and logistics operations in Toluca.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable software applications that integrate with existing plant systems.
• Implement and enforce OT security controls in line with IEC 62443 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Create, validate and manage analytical datasets, ensuring data quality, integrity and traceability.
• Perform data‑quality checks, cleanup and lineage documentation across large, complex data sources.
• Maintain and improve data workflows, documentation and governance practices.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering and operations teams to secure system interfaces, network segmentation and access controls.
• Support risk assessments, security audits and promote OT‑security awareness within the plant.

Required profile

• Experience with cybersecurity concepts such as risk management, access control and secure system design.
• Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing environments, or a strong willingness to learn OT contexts.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, modeling and quality principles.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a global, multi‑disciplinary team.
