Software Engineer I – Cloud Security Platform

About the role

Honeywell’s Security and Access Solutions business is looking for a Software Engineer I to join a cross‑functional delivery team building a cloud‑based unified security platform. You will work under senior engineers, develop new features, fix bugs, and help improve the overall user experience of modern web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Implement user‑interface components and features using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests for web applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand requirements and technical designs.
• Participate in code reviews to learn from peers and raise coding standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• English proficiency.
• Willingness to work in Mexico City on a hybrid basis.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals.
• Understanding of modern web development concepts such as HTML5, CSS3, and DOM manipulation.
• Familiarity with React, Node.js or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
