Software Engineer I – Frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript)

About the role

Honeywell’s Security and Access Solutions business is looking for a Software Engineer I to join its cloud‑based unified security platform team in Mexico City. You will work under senior engineers, contributing to modern web applications that protect buildings worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Implement user‑interface components and features using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests for web applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand requirements and technical designs.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve coding standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• English proficiency.
• Willingness to work in Mexico City (Hybrid).
• At least 1 year of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals.
• Understanding of modern web development concepts (HTML5, CSS3, DOM manipulation).

Required skills

• React.js or similar modern frontend framework.
• RESTful APIs.
• Version control with Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and serverless architecture.
• Exposure to Node.js and backend development concepts.
