Tax Analyst

About the role

BYD Mexico is seeking a Tax Analyst to ensure full compliance with Mexican tax regulations and internal policies. The role involves tax calculations, monthly and annual filings, transfer pricing support, and tax account reconciliations while working closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns, including VAT (IVA), ISR, and local taxes.
• Support calculation, reconciliation, and analysis of tax accounts.
• Assist in preparing and analyzing transfer pricing documentation.
• Monitor updates in Mexican tax legislation and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Prepare tax provisions for financial statements.
• Organize tax documentation for audits and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations on tax-related matters.
• Support tax processes related to import operations and international transactions.
• Analyze applicable VAT rates, tax treatments, and regulatory differences.
• Ensure accurate provisional ISR payments and annual inflation adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate tax or a similar role.
• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in English for communication with global teams.

Required skills

• Mexican tax regulations and SAT procedures.
• VAT (IVA) regulations and applicable rates.
• ISR provisional payments and annual inflation adjustment calculations.
• Transfer pricing knowledge.
• Import‑related tax operations.
• ERP systems experience, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
