Tax Specialist

About the role

Charger Logistics is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its Finance Team. The role focuses on Mexican tax compliance, corporate tax filings, and coordination with various tax authorities. This position offers the chance to deepen tax expertise while supporting a fast‑growing logistics company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with Mexican SAT regulations.
• Manage SAT portals and interact with government entities.
• Conduct basic to intermediate tax research for Mexico.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on inter‑company tax matters.
• Assist the Tax Manager with transactions, elections, and consulting projects.
• Prepare monthly PST, QST, and HST returns for review.
• Correspond with CRA, Mexican tax authorities, and draft related memos.
• Provide tax input for forecasts, budgets, and financial statement analysis.
• Support tax audits for foreign subsidiaries and implement internal controls.
• Lead due‑diligence projects to identify tax liabilities in business transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or specialization in taxes.
• Minimum 3 years of tax accounting experience, including Mexican tax compliance and audits.
• Experience with equipment financing in transportation is a plus.
• Strong time‑management, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
