Team Manager – Auto Field Inspectors

About the role

The Team Manager leads a group of on‑field and desktop auto inspectors, ensuring best‑practice claims handling, optimal outcomes and high customer service. The role also drives technical and professional development of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate claims to field and desktop inspectors and act as technical referral point.
• Monitor complex loss developments, execute strategic initiatives and maintain best‑practice appraisal standards.
• Embed KPI and balanced scorecard usage, develop process improvements and control claim costs.

Required profile

• Proven people‑management experience with ability to influence stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to deliver strategic directives.
• Leadership competencies ranging from direction‑setting to coaching and performance issue resolution.

Required skills

• Auto material damage assessments and procedural requirements.
• Policy wording interpretation.
• Negotiation and mediation with TPAs, body shops and parts providers.
• Technical claims audits and KPI‑driven analysis.
• Stakeholder management across underwriting, distribution, finance and external brokers.
