Vulnerability Coordinator (Cyber Security Analyst)

About the role

The Vulnerability Coordinator will work closely with the IT Security team to manage and remediate security vulnerabilities across the organization. This hybrid position (3 days remote) is based in Guadalajara and requires strong analytical and coordination skills to drive timely remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate vulnerabilities reported by the security team and assess their impact.
• Analyze CVE entries and CVSS scores to prioritize remediation based on risk.
• Research vendor patches, upgrades, and remediation options.
• Recommend software upgrades, replacements, or retirement of end‑of‑life applications.
• Lead daily SWAT meetings, coordinate cross‑functional remediation activities, and track progress.
• Prepare communications for end‑users and leadership, and obtain approvals for change requests.
• Maintain Kanban tickets, vulnerability dashboards, and provide daily status reports to executives.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to ensure long‑term resolution of vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in business analysis or project management.
• Proven experience in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and patch management.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments (10,000+ employees).
