Accountant – Accounts Payable & Compliance

About the role

Belden is looking for an Accountant to manage the accounts payable process for local suppliers in Mexico. The role involves ensuring accurate invoice processing, maintaining compliance with Mexican accounting regulations, and supporting internal audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the accounts payable process for local suppliers.
• Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and process payments.
• Communicate directly with suppliers regarding payment issues.
• Record accounting entries in Mexican accounting books.
• Assist in reviewing expense reports and ensure compliance with electronic accounting requirements.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
• Request, print, and file checks.
• Calculate and control SUA payments.
• Manage REPSE compliance for suppliers in Tijuana.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required information and reports.
• Participate in the annual physical inventory and maintain accounting files and records.

Required profile

• Ability to coordinate accounts payable and reconcile invoices.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and handling payment queries.
• Familiarity with Mexican accounting standards and electronic reporting.
• Attention to detail for bank reconciliations, petty cash, and audit support.
