Accounting Manager – Hybrid – Guadalajara

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for a multi‑location healthcare and senior‑living organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will ensure accurate financial close, compliance with U.S. GAAP, and robust internal controls while supporting continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities.
• Review journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, plan workloads, and foster professional development.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, accounting documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
• Support internal‑control documentation, audit readiness, and external audit requests.
• Utilize ERP (Sage Intacct preferred) and advanced Excel to improve reporting efficiency and data integrity.
• Identify and implement process‑automation opportunities and assist with system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5‑8 years of progressive accounting experience, including month‑end close and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with ERP systems.
