After Hours Roadside Support Assistant

About the role

HMD Trucking Inc. is seeking a dedicated After Hours Roadside Support Assistant to provide on‑the‑road assistance to drivers across the United States. The role involves handling breakdown calls, coordinating repairs, and supporting the shop team during evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and emails from drivers needing repair assistance.
• Provide step‑by‑step guidance to drivers experiencing truck or trailer breakdowns.
• Organize on‑the‑road support with vendors nationwide.
• Enter data, maintain records, and perform general administrative tasks.
• Cover for colleagues and perform additional support functions as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance or breakdown assistance experience.
• Proficient spoken and written English.
• Ability to work under pressure and both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for phone and email interactions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of tractor functions.
• Knowledge of trailer functions.
• Knowledge of truck mechanical functions.
• Knowledge of semi‑mechanical functions.
• Maintenance and breakdown assistance experience.
