AIX System Administrator – IBM Power 7/8

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AIX System Administrator to ensure the availability and performance of production systems built on IBM Power 7 and Power 8 platforms. You will collaborate with multiple teams, provide expert guidance, and drive continuous improvement across the infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production systems in line with defined Service Level Agreements.
• Lead incident and outage resolution, communicating clearly with all stakeholders.
• Restore services promptly after disruptions and ensure efficient recovery processes.
• Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery procedures for critical operations.
• Implement data retention policies consistent with organizational standards.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for cross‑team collaboration and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience with IBM AIX on Power 7 and Power 8 hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to guide others in decision‑making.

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in IBM AIX Power 7.

• Expertise in AIX System Administration.
• Experience with Data Center Orchestration & Provisioning.
