Alternative Investment Operation Specialist

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Alternative Investment Operation Specialist to join its Americas Delivery Mexico (ADMX) team in Queretaro. The role focuses on providing operational support for clients' alternative investment platforms, covering the full lifecycle of private market investments. You will work in a collaborative consulting environment with limited travel requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support overall project goals and objectives as part of an engagement team.
• Interact with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Perform independent tasks and offer technical guidance to junior team members.
• Provide end‑to‑end operational support for private credit, direct lending, preferred equity, fund‑level financings and other bespoke alternative structures.
• Read and interpret deal documentation to extract operational mechanics.
• Engage directly with client stakeholders to address operational issues.
• Oversee outsourced and offshore service providers responsible for settlement, reconciliation and document processing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in alternative investment operations or related finance functions.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting complex deal documentation.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and guide team members when needed.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Experience managing relationships with external service providers.
