AP Analyst - Regional Shared Service Center (Mexico)

About the role

A Regional Shared Service Center is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to serve the Mexico region. The role ensures accuracy and timeliness in recording and paying invoices and keeps accounts payable processes efficient. The schedule is 9 AM to 6 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Perform weekly payment reconciliations and conduct account reconciliations using ARCs (Oracle)
• Record supplier invoices in PeopleSoft and review and control petty cash funds
• Schedule vendor payments, expense reimbursements, petty cash and cash advances; record expense provisions and reclassifications
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including integrating provisions into year-end closing and performing AP reconciliation for corporate monthly closing
• Review payment requests, reimbursement invoices and expense reports in the expense management system for compliance
• Coordinate with internal teams on new vendors and validate vendor documentation
• Analyse data from various systems to issue consolidated reports and promote process improvement and standardisation
• Meet SLAs and KPIs, take part in formal training and train users on travel and expense processes
• Record and maintain accounting policies for the AP area and work closely with cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Currently enrolled finance or accounting student or university graduate (required)
• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable processing experience
• Desirable: experience in multinational companies
• English at intermediate to advanced level

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (required)
• Proficiency in accounting ERP systems
• Familiarity with CFDI 4.0 and payment supplements under Mexican regulation
• Understanding of travel expense deductibility for Mexican tax purposes
