API Developer – Design & Build Scalable APIs

About the role

We are looking for an API Developer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance APIs using Apigee and related technologies. The role involves ensuring API reliability, scalability and compliance with governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement REST, GraphQL and SOAP APIs on the Apigee platform.
• Manage API lifecycle using Apigee Edge and related management tools.
• Monitor API performance and conduct analysis to optimize latency and throughput.
• Apply API governance guidelines and maintain OpenAPI specifications (YAML/JSON).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams following Agile methodologies.

• Ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Proactive, self‑driven learner.

Required skills

• API design and development with Apigee.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL, SOAP standards.
• Java (version 8 or higher) professional proficiency.
• Basic JavaScript knowledge.
• Git version control.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Agile methodology familiarity.
• OpenAPI (YAML/JSON) expertise.
• Understanding of API security, authentication and authorization (nice to have).
