Application Developer

About the role

SWBC is looking for a motivated Application Developer to join self‑organized teams that build and maintain customer‑facing applications and internal integrations. The position offers a remote, supportive environment with opportunities to work across a diverse product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain existing systems and resolve defects as needed.
• Automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Develop tools that eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate within self‑organizing teams to achieve shared goals.
• Respond to production issues and work with the Systems Assurance Group to enhance monitoring.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of experience with basic web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
• Working knowledge of object‑oriented concepts and multiple programming languages.
• Experience querying databases for data creation and retrieval.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, MVC frameworks.
• Java, ASP.NET, C#, VB, T‑SQL.
• Visual Studio, TFS, CVS, JIRA, Git.
• Object‑oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns.
• SQL query writing and performance assessment.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
