Assistant Entertainment Manager

About the role

Ennismore is building a new all-inclusive luxury resort in Playa Mujeres, Cancun, Mexico, with 500 rooms, 18 food and beverage outlets and a spa. It is looking for an Assistant Entertainment Manager to support the daily operations of the Entertainment Department, overseeing recreational activities, guest experiences, live entertainment and special events. The role helps maintain service, quality, safety and brand standards while aligning with LQA, Forbes Travel Guide and AAA quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily entertainment operations so activities run on time and follow schedules and procedures.
• Develop and coordinate recreational, social and lifestyle activities that engage guests.
• Coordinate live performances, themed activities, special events and entertainment experiences.
• Supervise, coach and develop the entertainment team.
• Deliver warm, personalized guest interactions and anticipate guest needs.
• Implement and monitor service standards and operating procedures, and partner with F&B, Front Office, Guest Experience, Security and Marketing.
• Monitor expenses, supplies and equipment, and track KPIs such as guest participation, satisfaction and feedback.
• Ensure safety protocols and risk prevention procedures are followed.
• Recommend new entertainment concepts aligned with the SLS brand.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Entertainment or Event Management preferred.
• Previous supervisory or coordination experience in entertainment, recreation, events or guest experiences, preferably in luxury hotels or resorts.
• Experience leading operational teams in high-volume environments.
• Advanced English proficiency; flexibility for evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

Required skills

• Entertainment programming, event production, logistics and vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of luxury service standards and hotel quality assessment frameworks.
