Assistant Teacher – Kindergarten

About the role

The Kindergarten Teaching Assistant supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role contributes to early development by assisting with educational activities, promoting social and emotional growth, and ensuring student well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily classroom activities.
• Assist in delivering age‑appropriate lessons and learning experiences.
• Help manage classroom behavior in a positive and supportive manner.
• Provide individual and small‑group support to students as needed.
• Supervise students during class, transitions, recess and other school activities.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Assist with classroom organization, material preparation and displays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, Education or a related field with official certification (Título).
• Advanced level of English.
• Previous experience working with young children in a school setting is desirable.
