About the role

Kennedys is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its growing Insurance Coverage team in Mexico City. The Associate will provide specialist insurance law services to local and international insurers and reinsurers, delivering coverage advice and supporting the defence of complex claims.

Key responsibilities

Provide advisory services on insurance coverage and exposures.
Assist claims handlers in managing and defending large and complex claims.
Deliver coverage advice to insurers and their insureds.
Manage a busy caseload of low to medium value claims.
Conduct legal research and draft technical opinions.

Required profile

Qualified to practice law in Mexico.
2–5+ years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in a law firm focused on insurance coverage and consulting.
Native‑level English; Spanish preferred but not mandatory.
Proactive, initiative‑taking and strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail.

Required skills
