Country Government Relations Manager

About the role

inDrive is seeking a seasoned Government Relations Manager to lead its public policy agenda in Mexico. You will act as the primary liaison with national and state authorities, ensuring the company’s operations across ride‑hailing, courier, intercity, and cargo services comply with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national government‑relations strategy, setting OKRs and detailed roadmaps.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators, NGOs, industry unions, and key opinion leaders.
• Oversee licensing processes for all business verticals at the state level, from identification to execution.
• Identify regulatory risks and opportunities, crafting proactive mitigation plans.
• Manage political or regulatory crises, coordinating cross‑functional response teams.
• Enhance inDrive’s brand visibility among government stakeholders, academia, and third‑party organizations.
• Prepare and manage the country‑level GR budget.
• Provide strategic guidance to internal teams on policy, legislative, and reputational matters.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
• At least 3 years in a tier‑one multinational organization, either in‑house or as a consultant.
• Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, International Affairs, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record designing and executing public‑policy strategies at national and regional levels.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English.
